Summer moments

Football fanatical

There's nothing so sweet as seeing lots of little 7 year old footballers in oversized kit, all randomly running after the ball ! This weekend found me recording a children's football tournament in Old Catton which thankfully just missed the rain! It was a glorious day on Saturday and the ages ranged from 7-14yrs, (so some not so small), and although I wouldn't call myself experienced in the ways of football, the level of skill was impressive. Got some real jems.

Working back in events can come as a refreshing change. The hectic pace and banter ensures it's all done and dusted before you know it. I really enjoyed today. Job satisfaction with no homework! Congratulations to all who graduated today.

You may be forgiven for feeling slightly daunted at the prospect of meeting with EMBD director Graham Franklin, after all he can list blue chip clients such as Barclays Bank PLC, JPMorgan Chase and Eurostar, to name but a few. But mistaken you would be as from the outset you are greeted by a warm smile and a firm handshake and you are immediately put at ease.

An enjoyable photo-shoot later plus a few fun photos of little Heidi (that weren’t on the brief!), and I have to say it was a pleasure doing business. Many thanks to Graham, Diane and Nicola.

Easter egg hunt

This weekend has been full of Easter egg hunts, family gatherings and a suprisingly entertaining trip to the circus. A festival of new life, fresh energies and chocolate!

Spring has sprung!

It's been great to take advantage of all that new found spring energy, especially as it's now we can more readily play outside! Can't wait for that sunshine to shine on!

6 months and 4 weeks...

As each week passes, significant changes with a new child seem to develop and pass us by to become memories all too quickly. I know from my own: my baby who is so desperate to grow up - who now crawls and stands and gesticulates - is she really only 7 months old? It's great to just stop for a moment and really capture the ever increasing pace of change and get some real gems of that 'here and now'.

I love working with people, especially children. It’s great fun, spontaneous and brilliantly unpredictable.

This is what makes each experience unique and full of life, producing fantastic images which capture the life and soul of everyone involved.

The photographer tells us stories of relationships and friendships: evocative and transient.
